Leaked Google guidelines have some web site owners upset.
There is a lot that we could discuss in this but I’d love to ask your opinions on the section on long urls. The document says that a url with a long string of keywords separated by hyphens is considered to be a signal for spam. So, how long do you think is too long?
Should you be concerned?
If that were true, my blog would be slammed.
Is it a bunch of hoopla?
People are now officially reading too much into the document. This manual is NOT a guide to the ranking algorithms. It is used by quality raters to provide feedback and guidance to the Google engineers on the quality of the listings in the search results.
