It looks like my site went from PR 0 to PR 4 with the current update. What else can i change to improve this site ahead of the next deep crawl?

Just to follow up on this:
http://bigmarketing.wordpress.com/2007/06/...oogle-ad-dough/ Markus now has one of the most visited sites in North America in plentyoffish.com, and there was a great feature on him on nationwide television in the US yesterday morning. Congratulations, Markus. Let this be inspiration to all of you toiling away on a website, and wondering if success might be a possibility in the future. |

If you are inspired, feel free to read this thread:
http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum23/4496-3-30.htm It talks about how much and what kind of knowledge went into building such a website. Markus is the only one managing millions of visitors per day on 4 servers, not 200. Great job and it only tells us that, to quote Ruud, QUOTE(Ruud) Yes, it is possible. In every case where I've been involved with such a venture there was content first. You need to have people want to be on your site, want to use your resource. The times when this has resulted in significant income were always when the topic was a specialty of the writer. |

I saw jwegan's post and thought I'd bump this and add some wikipedia info. Hot stuff, Cre8!
QUOTE History http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlentyofFishMarkus Frind, CEO and Founder of PlentyofFish Media Inc., graduated in 1999 from British Columbia Institute of Technology with a diploma in Computer Systems Technology.[6] In 2004, PlentyofFish became a full-time business for Frind.[7] He ran the site independently until 2007, when he began hiring other employees at his new Vancouver headquarters.[8] In August, 2009 PlentyofFish was featured in a music video for the song "Available" by Flo Rida and R&B singer Akon. In 2009, PlentyofFish also launched a contest with Lady Gaga allowing single members to go together and meet the singer during her "Fame Monster" tour. In Lady Gaga and Beyonce's highly anticipated music video for "Telephone", A prison guard is seen allowing Lady Gaga to walk out of jail while she's logging on to Plentyoffish at her desk. The video was leaked on March 11th, 2010 and premiered on E! News. [edit] Staff PlentyofFish employs three customer service staff members [2] and relies heavily on volunteers to monitor their forums and sort through the 50,000 new photos that come in each day.[9] |
