Have you had too much of Google recently? Why not try Google X for a friendlier way of getting all that stuff?

Never knew about that one Barry. (On a different note, it's a pity macs are so expensive here in India ... never really worked on one.)

I'm not sure I get it Barry. Search results look the same to me. Am I missing something?

I'm not sure what it is, Garrick. I read about it on the Google Blog - Live. I presume it works beautifully on a Mac. It's certainly novel on a PC. However that's why I titled the thread as I did. Can someone explain why Chikai Ohazama, Software Engineer at Google and its creator, thinks this is such an amazing day?

Yes, I noticed the Mac-like rollovers on the icons. Would be nice if Chikai can explain some of the features. As of now, they escape me...

Now why would that be? You can't even get there from the creator's blog. Is this another Google blogger who will bite the dust. :?

Seems to be down now. The whole purpose was the genie affect, just something dorky Google wanted to blog about, I guess. Got us dorks talking about it. smile.gif

I always feel like an unethical mule (no offense to real mules) when I post links to my own stuff, but I think that this might be more about wanting to be the coolest company out there. smile.gif
