It is with mixed emotions that I must announce that our esteemed staff member, who has been a Tech Admin for Cre8asiteForums since it's earliest days, has stepped down from his post and as a Moderator.

As many of you know, Stock was the one who was the brains and major force behind the Cre8asite Resource Library (Cre8asite.net). It was his wish to use it to generate revenue for these forums, to allow them to remain free for everyone.

He also was behind the launch of the Cre8tive Flow Blog. Stock assisted Dave Childs (ILoveJackDaniels) in the every day technical backend maintenance of these forums.

More importantly, he was here to answer countless questions and generally be his fun loving self.

That will likely not change. Stock is moving forward in his life journey but he swears he won't abandon us entirely smile.gif

Please join myself and the entire crew of Admins and Moderators here in giving thanks and wishing him well.

We've given him the new rank of "Hall of Fame". He most deserves this honor.

Stock, I can see I will have to drink a beer in your honor, rather than a Fuzzy Navel, (which, by the way, I have a picture of Alan Webb (Webby) buying me a Fuzzy Navel at SES in NYC. He was so horrified he had to order me a "girlie drink"!).

Be well and thank you for everything you've given us.

Kim

I'd like to see lots of posts from you lot saying how you've all appreciated Stock/Grumpus here, he's one of those guys who just deserves it, so don't be shy. A driving force if ever there was one, as well as being a top bloke and brilliant programmer.

Please, raise your glasses and tip them slightly in his direction smile.gif

It's been a pleasure.

Stock, thanks for "themes" and "directory & forum structures" together with a nice link wink.gif

Thanks for the energy and effort you've put into the programming side - I'm sure you haven't received half the appreciation and honor you deserve simply because we don't even see and know it all.

Thanks for that special avatar pic of you. I never knew someone could look so different, laugh.gif

Thanks for being so funny when you want to.

Any man who can do so much for the forum for so long and still know where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with biggrin.gif

Coolness, towels, and God's speed!

Stock, When I think of you, I think "Cre8asite". It was a true honor to have known you. Your posts and contributions to this community, which touched so many other communities, will be missed. I would like to wish you all the best in the future.

Respectfully,
Barry

Thank you, Stock.

You're really going to be missed in the Administrative section of the forums. We all owe you a great debt of gratitude for your tireless efforts over the past couple of years at Cre8asite, for your responses to emergencies at all hours, for your vision in addressing problems and finding solutions, for your advice and humor and wisdom.

We hope to be seeing you around the front of the forums here when you get the chance.

I know I'm not alone in wishing you the best in whatever new adventures you face.

Hi Stock,

Sorry to see you step down from your post and as moderator. I hope that life continues to be good to you and that we see your return before too long.

Kind Regards,

Ditto and then some.

I always felt G that you, Ammon and Bill created so much of the positive atmosphere here. Tackling questions in contentious areas, and with the odd contentious member, you never fell into being nasty or spiteful, and that is something that I hope continues to be the Cre8 way.

Good luck, good health, but most certainly not good riddance. Don't be a stranger, don't stay away long and have a :celebrate: or ten on me smile.gif

Thanks all. The kinds words in this thread have been overwhelming. But, I think you'll all find that you'll hardly notice any change. Aside from the back that I don't have the "delete this thread" buttons (buttons that I rarely had to use), things are going to be pretty much the same.

I'll still be kickin' around the place, but thanks again for the kind words. They've touched me deeply.

G.

Stock, what can you say when there's a massive change in something that you have come to feel is like a "second home". It won't at all be the same without you. We'll continue to grow and you'll continue to grow but it won't be the same. I personally have greatly appreciated your help on a whole number of topics. Your posts are always very insightful, so I hope we'll see lots of those.

Thanks and best wishes in your future endeavours. smile.gif

Thanks again, all!
