QUOTE

While there is a place for internet marketing conferences of all flavors, such as Danny Sullivan’s Search Engine Strategies, there are those who enjoy the free-form networking of the original-style PubConference. History buffs may wish to view this fine selection of internet web pages for background.

Agenda?

This ain’t no agenda kind of gig! All we have is free admission, free bar and no “sponsors” to spoil the fun.

By Invitation

Of course all attendees of the original SEO Roadshow of London 04 have an automatic invite. More invitations will be going out in the next few days. If you have yet to recieve an invite and were expecting one it is almost certainly down the lack of organisation from the clowns that “run” this gig!

I'll be there.

Highly recommended to others too. (Especially others who want to buy me a drink smile.gif )

I wish I could come, but Edinburgh is a long way from Seattle and I just can't get away again this year! I will shoot to make it out next year, though.

I would have loved to Peter.

But, the open time that I left to go was an ideal time to have a company retreat, and it was the best time for other folks in the office, too.

I've been putting off a visit across the Atlantic for too long though. I'm hoping that I can make for that soon.

Looking less likely that I can go, though I'm still hoping I can sort something out.

My favorite part of hearing about these gatherings across the pond is reading what Mike Grehan has to say about his experiences there.

This time he didn't wake up with Ammon. Rather, it was his wife, which in all honesty, I think Mike was happier about, until she clobbered him for taking her picture in the buff.

Who knew Mike was such a romantic? blink.gif

Ralph (Fantomaster) looks like a member of the band ZZ Top. A few more inches on the beard oughtta do it. tongue.gif

I would have loved to have hung out with the crowd in Scotland.

Instead, I joined the folks at work in a plane trip up to Newport, Rhode Island for three days of great food, good drink, some sailing around on a yacht, and a tour of some of the really awesome mansions of the City (Roseclif and Astors' Beechwood Mansion).

Great fun. Might be a good SEO by the SEA future event. I understand that you can rent out some of the mansions for corporate events. smile.gif

Speaking of SEO by the SEA, I'm looking forward to planning a Japan meetup in April 2006, after (or during) the SES Tokyo Conference. I'm meeting some SEM/SEO/SE folks here and would not be expecting a large crowd at all, but it could be fun.

Does anyone think they may be interested in such?

By the way, such a get together would of course include Ramen. So if you are interested, I strongly advise renting the film Juzo Itami's Tampopo
