So did anybody else that is using adwords get a nice little red leather carry case from G today as a christmas gift?

The pack contained:

4 port USB hub
128MB memory stick
Super mini wireless optical mouse
USB LED notebook light
earpiece
and a carry pouch

Or did I just get this because I don't spend enough? and others actually got something better? biggrin.gif

Sounds like a $100 gift. The words "horse" and "mouth" also spring to mind.

Excuse me, but why are people expecting high-quality gifts after joining a program that is beneficial in its own right? Is that some historical thing???

PS: I'm not - and never have been - into adwords, so I really don't have a clue... smile.gif

Wit, I was not expecting anything from Google in the first place, I certainly was not having ago at the quality, I just thought it was funny that it packed up so soon.

I am now taking it apart to see how it works. rolleyes.gif

Best Regards

Mind you, I've seen many reports of people getting stuff from Google before. Different kind of stuff (probably depending on how much people spend) and different levels of appreciation.

I wonder what Google is/was hoping to achieve with the various (little) gifts, and if ythey are handing them out just for the sake of it, or if they really thought about them and weighed their "value" as a means of creating goodwill and whathaveyou....

I have a friend who is spending upto £20,000 a month on adwords. He is in 3g mobile phones etc. I asked him if he received anything, he did not know what I was talking about.

I am spending £50 a day.

So I don't see any weighed value based on spending.
