http://www.ecomxpo.com is hosting a free, fully featured (whatever that means, maybe i've been in the marketing world too long!) online web seminar from tomorrow, April 4th until Thursday, April 6th. It reminds me of a mini SES with a few keynotes including people from MarketingSherpa, and everything appears to be done through a Macromedia plugin on the web.

There is a sample presentation on the website and it's rather robust with polls throughout the session and the feeling of being in real space to some extent.

They recommend this for anyone involved with the web and/or marketing, so it's worth checking into. There was a long thread on this topic on SearchEngineWatch.com and it is a legit website.

Thanks for the heads-up on this online conference.

There are a lot of interesting presenters and moderators involved, including Bryan Eisenberg, Andy Beal, Nacho Hernadez, Kevin Lee, Catherine Seda, Matt Bailey, Christine Churchill, Jennifer Laycock, Lee Odden, Greg Jarboe, and Chris Perillo.

This should be good. I've registered.

Wow - those are some big names. I'll have to check it out, too. Thanks for the heads up!

Has anyone checked this out yet? It's sort of like a normal conference, only the usability is a little less friendly and it doesn't support Firefox. Still, I'm rather impressed with the amount of content available, and looking forward to watching a few sessions this afternoon.

I haven't signed in yet, but it is available, and online now.

I've received a response to my registration, and should be able to get in.

Thanks for letting us know about it.

Looks pretty good after having attended one of the sessions. It was a "word of mouth" session and provided a lot of useful information on viral marketing ("tell a friend about a special offer"), customer reviews, etc. Ironically, I'm doing exactly what the last panelist was talking about - word of mouth through forums smile.gif

I wandered around a little. Seems very impressive, however it's tough to do any networking. sad.gif

That was my impression too, although I did stumble across the chat lounges which made it easier and was able to network with a few people. There's people from companies like Ingenio and Looksmart that I've had the pleasure of dealing with in the past from other seminars, so of course you look up old friends and make a couple new ones if you're lucky smile.gif
