The Information Revolution ads are sneaky, they get people to start talking about Ask.com (even if it doesn't look like it's workout out well).

But what would you say when Ask.com promoters come to your place of business and block visitors? Or if they were to run PPC ads on your company's name in the name of Ask.com?

Crazy.

Ask.com is paying "partners" for visitors that click on a tagged link to a search query - I don't know about you, but that's just asking for abuse (link-spam bonanza)... sad.gif

How much guerrilla marketing is too much? Or is the goal to offend this much, to get people to complain loudly (mentioning their name)?

The other day I was at my car dealership waiting for my car to have a bunch of things done and I overheard a conversation where some folks were asking about the lead singer for a band.

One guy suddenly says, "Why don't you search Ask Jeeves?"

I giggled to myself.

Guess the marketing isn't getting out fast enough. search.gif
