There is so much money out there... these companies are getting so unprecedentedly big and keep hunting to get bigger and bigger kinda scary. i wonder what company is the biggest these days.

They should try to get better with what they've got rather than just getting bigger. Size isn't everything.

That is the most interesting part.

Although I'm quite laid back about all this myself, I do think privacy, especially in the light of monitoring, industry espionage and other forms of abuse, is a valid point to review.

Europe has been more concerned with privacy than the USA for a while now (but I'm not saying the US isn't - no flame wars please!). I'm not surprised the EU was concerned about this.

The other thing which comes out of privacy is access to customer data. Since this helps ad targeting, it does affect competition. It's just a step down the line...
