In another thread I've pointed out that Google Blogsearch should really be quietly buried because it isn't doing what it says on the can. Barry S. pointed out that Ask has a new blog search function. The only link I can find is on a Ask site features page but I'm now using that to access Ask blogs.

I'm really finding it excellent. For any item found you can immediately subscribe to the RSS feed or you can post it to some of the more popular social media sites. If they would only add a button to StumbleUpon, my cup would be overflowing. smile.gif

Try it, you'll like it.

I'm not surprised that Kim is at #1. I am surprised that Jakob Nielsen managed to make it to #3. smile.gif

You can use this link to get to Ask.com blog search: http://www.ask.com/?tool=bls

It basically is like going to Ask.com and clicking on the blog link.

Thanks, Barry S. That's a most useful link. I don't know how I missed it. smile.gif

Ohoh, something seems amiss. I just did two searches on Ask Blog Search and both of them were filled with items on Internet gambling after the first two or three relevant entries. Since I was searching on customer service in the Internet age, I can't see the relevance. I wonder if someone has been attacking this service in some way.

ASK got it right: customer service in the internet age is a gamble smile.gif

When I first clicked the link when this thread came up and entered a search term, quite a few of the results were clearly not blogs so I assumed it didn't work and haven't used it since. Now I wonder if the lack of blog results is related to this gambling thing..

I see some spam creep it, but compared to other engines - it seems much cleaner...

Still need more time to decide but we will see.
