Our next logo change, created by our artist/moderator, Risa, honors Mothers Day on Sunday, here in the USA.
(I can never remember if other countries celebrate moms and dads...)

In any case, so that the mom's here can rest and not have to do any work tomorrow, I put up the mom's day logo early.

So I can sleep in!!!!

Happy Mothers Day! thankyou.gif thankyou.gif thankyou.gif thankyou.gif

It was 2nd March in the UK this year smile.gif

Myself and Katherine had a 'discussion' about it... I say it is where the child does things for their Mum, whereas Katherine says it is where the whole family celebrate her being a Mum...

Given that Alice was not even one yet I just didn't get why I had to buy a card for 'Mum' and make a fuss....

Tomorrow is your second chance. Get flowers and chocolates and when she wonders what's going on, SMILE REALLY BIG, say "It's Mother's Day in the US and I thought of you," and NOTHING ELSE. (Still LOL)

I remember being 18 years old and having my first apartment.

Cooking my first meal, washing my first batch of laundry, paying my first set of real bills, I remember thinking -- "Wow, this sucks." It was at that moment, that I finally realized how much my mother had done for me and truly come to appreciate all the things I had previously taken for granted. Thanks, Mom.

My mother is an awesome, wise woman. I'd be lost without her!

Happy Mother's day to all moms, grandmas, aunts, & moms-to-be. Today, May 11, is a special Mother's Day for me because 9 years ago today, my first son, Joshua, was born.

Now I'm the mom of three beautiful boys - Benjamin, 3, Joshua, 9, Daniel, 6.

I am truly blessed. They are angels from heaven.

Here's a poem, actually a dedication, which is my favorite poem about motherhood. When Daniel was born, he was given the book, Light, a story about Genesis written Sarah Waldman (13 years old) and illustrated by her dad, Neil Waldman. The dedication below was written by Neil Waldman.
QUOTE
My beloved, blessed children
are the flowers of a garden
in which I have grown.
The sweetness of their petals
has filled many of my days, their glorious colors
exploding in sparkling radiance
and blessing my widened eyes.
Through the long winter
of my silence,
their blossoming
opened my heart
and gave wings
to my voice.
Their very being
is a blessing –
a wondrous blessing
that has graced my days.
