Yep same here. It's having a fit in that it sometimes works sometimes don't. It mostly doesn't...

I wonder if this is UK wide...

Been down here at least for 5 minutes at about same time, too.

I remember G being slow, but sheesh, I didn't expect them to slow down that bad with their infrastructure now.

From summize's results, it seems to have started around 6AM UK time, which would put it at 10PM yesterday Google time. From my very limited testing, it seems that the datacenters whose IP addresses start with 72 were hit, but I wouldn't trust this without others confirming.

It became OK around 10:30ish AM UK time.

Pierre

PS: UK time is +5 from Eastern which means +8 from Pacific time.

Ooh, so it was Google? I thought "don't be silly Jem, Google can't possibly be down, it must be your ISP!"

What a coincidence though.. I just said to my boss yesterday "have you ever seen Google go down?"

My understanding of the problem is that due to the eKstreme relevancy of Socializer2.0 links certain datacentres encountered PR in excess of 1.0 forcing a cascade failure of the Google algorithm. biggrin.gif
