Webmaster Tools Question Options

In Google's webmaster tools > statistics > crawl stats, at the bottom there's "Your page with the highest PageRank" - is this directly referencing Google's current/up to date PR rather than the "fairy dust" ranking that gets pushed out to toolbars now and again?

I'm just a little curious... reason being, for the first time ever there's a page other than my home page listed. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!

As far as I know, those statistics are updated slightly more regularly than the Toolbar.

Personally I think it's great to see a non-home page listed as the page with the highest PageRank -- it's a sign that people love your content and are sending visitors right to something they really like. In general, your lower level pages will link back to your homepage too, so link going there would indirectly point to your homepage as well (and of course allow visitors to go there, should they want to).

As always, keep in mind that PageRank is but one of the many factors Google uses for crawling, indexing and ranking so don't be too obsessed about it
