[b]http://www.cre8asite...om/forsale.html

ALMOST got me, until I read the part about

To stir up a little controversy in the Usability forum, we are going to add a couple of words to the title of that section, and call it:

• "Usability Must Die"

It's still the 31st of March here.

We had to break the news early in the USA, for the benefit of the other side of the planet.

Who says we're kidding?

Yes, I had a heart attack until the veil started to lift when I saw "Usability Must Die". Then my head had to do a 180!

You rascals you!!!! My heart stopped for a while.
Donna

Now that I think of it, maybe this should be the tag sentence for the forum.
"Cre8asite - the forum for rascals."

Embarrassingly it wasn’t until the ‘More Color’ section that i realised, up until then everything sounded like a good idea :)

That realization took me longer than I'll admit :)

Why thank you, kind php sir. :-)

Seeing my real face there, I have this image of myself wriggling out of opera length Velveeta-colored gloves, pulling blue cheese rhinestone accents off of my glasses... and I think there was a fringed and spangled ballgown... and some form of elegant cheesy footwear. And, wow, there's this (magic?) orange dust everywhere - looks like cheese puffs. I seem to remember wearing a floor-length boa made of Cheetos, maybe a cheese-and-crackers tiara? The memories are fading so quickly.

Was it all a dream?

It's good to see you, Elizabeth. At last we can feel we know you a little better. A face is such an important part of our knowing someone else. It's always worrying when you're talking to someone who's face you cannot see. I'm sure we could go on for ever about avatars. Indeed guys and gals, perhaps we should, because this thread has the most superb title. It obviously implies we're now talking at least about March 31, 2006. When you've got a winning thread, it's a shame not to keep it going.

No, this is just an early morning Saturday reflection. In HR they've got a thread called, The thread that wouldn't die. It started off when qwerty, one of the moderators there, was first appointed. That thread just lies there and I and others have been known to drop in and kick life into it every two or three months.

Perhaps this thread could find it's self sustaining as well. Certainly avatars is a thing we could really get our teeth in to. The questions are endless. After all, we all could have one but some don't. Mmm... Then the more recent question: should everyone in the southern hemisphere have their avatars upside down? People on the equator could have them on their side. Perhaps we need to add a poll to this thread?

That's a few things to talk about if we agree this is the topic of the thread and we stay on topic. Then there's all the off-topic additions. My mind is just boggled by the possibilities. :)

Thanks again for compliments on my avatar.
Any credit goes entirely to my daughter, especially for the smile.
She had the camera.

I had in mind something more posed. She used big accessibility/usability concepts like "relax" and "smile" and she was so earnest!
How could I not?

Hey, Bearmugs, have you considered Cheetos?
I could make you a great (free) deal on a slightly used boa - quite a signature item, if I say so myself.

Somewhere in this thread there are a few other personality laden items - a dollar or so in change under the couch cushions, bubble gum (the kind with a comic inside?!!) maybe a Fiona Apple cd, some chips, avocados and Kind Island cheeeese?
Yeah, ok, so it was King Island. I blame the spellchucker.

Anyhoo, sounds like we have ingredients for 3/4 of a party. Invitations, anyone? Put on your dancing bear mug and be prepared to play charades. Eventually someone will snap a picture of your bear, or your mug, and, oopsie, heehee, well, I guess that part of avatar posting would be up to you, huh?

Elizabeth :)
