Yahoo Search engine was down for a few hours this morning in Asia. We can do shopping and read the news but the search function does not work. Maybe, too much traffic over the new year in USA and Europe due to time difference?

yeah, it was down for a while for me too (over in the US).

One of the hosting servers I use crashed over the new year. They blamed it on the extra leap second in 05... Not sure if I buy this explanation.

the only thing i had problems with today on Yahoo was our listings suddenly getting displayed non-stop with no budget. their excuse was that with the number of keywords we have (some 13,000) that it wasn't possible to stick to our daily budget. But we've never had this problem before today, and it's costing us a lot of money. I finally made the judgement call and took our content matches offline, they were costing us way too much money.
