Well let`s see, we have a Bible with the Ten Commandments, The Inquisition, but also Absolution, of course we have our Messiah and the Devil(s), we even have a Bishop and many Priests that gather at various churches trying to get us to Heaven...

:huh:

cheers

Nice topic, viggen :huh:

I prefer to think of SEO as cooking. You could go with fast food, which might taste good for the moment but you end up regretting it afterwards (and it's not good for you in the long run), you could try your own hand at it (there are plenty of recipie books out there, some are good - some are junk), or you could go to a restaurant (there are good ones and there are bad ones, some just warm up fast food and call it hand-cooked; others prepare your meal with "feeling", taking care of all the small details that to the unaided eye are not visible but when you see the results you can just tell they know what they're doing).

If you just have old potatoes, there's nothing that will turn them into veal - you could hire the best cook and they wouldn't be able to do it. However, if you have good ingredients, you can either prepare them in a way that they end up being even better or destroy them in the process. The basis of any good meal are high-quality ingredients.

John, hungry for something good.

Well it's not SEO that's the religion according to your post, but Google. You didn't reference a single thing from Yahoo! or MSN. You missed out a Hell, which I would put as the Sandbox or being de-indexed.

So is Google a new religion? Oh definitely! Just as Apple is a new religion or cult.

@eKstreme

...oh i haven`t forgotten that there are other religions, but none of them have such a powerful symbol of faith, and to be honest, i don`t like to talk about Hell :P

..and there are also conglomerates of churches, even for those who are on the fringe.

Just don't be coerced by the the fake SEO masquerading as search.

SEO is not science, nor religion : it is art (like an artisan, not artist), just like cooking, it is empirical and academic knowledge, experience, plus some know-how and intuition :D

Off Topic offtopic:rofl:

The most embarassing thing is I wrote this: http://www.insearcho...heked-sem-blog/ and I thought "I'll just leave all the spelling mistakes in to make it funnier", but there were so many spelling mistakes, it was actually less funny. So I had to correct some to make it seem plausible.

Oh, the shame of not being able to type good :D
