Is this Google local search i've been hearing so much about?

I'd venture a guess to say that the results for that search aren't coming from Google local, but the checkmark under the dropdown that allows the search engine to "remember this location" may one aspect of local that ties the client to a geographical location.

Those results are from Google Base I believe.

Sad, URLs are broken for Google Base in SERPs.
