Cnet announced that Google has purchased JotSpot.

With all the $, they just keep on purchasing. :D

Just visited Seo by the Sea and Bill has written a bit on it.

I think that this was a pretty good decision on the part of Google.

The two who started Jotspot, and sold it to Google look like they are now Google employees. That's kind of interesting because they are two of the five co-founders of excite.com.

Will Google look carefully at Jotspot, Docs and Spreadsheets, Gmail, Google Calendar, and some of their other services, and try to roll them up into some type of office suite? I imagine that some kind of consolidation might take place.

I've been using jotspot on a couple of projects, but I don't think that I've taken advantage of all of the functions that it offers. A number of them were available, but at an additional cost. It sounds like Google will make those free.
