I guess I have been editing photos to much lately...

I saw Paul's pic on a few posts and decided I could improve it for him :D

Paul: hope you do not take offense at me making some edits. Given your stature here, I think you deserve a better Avatar to represent you. My suggestion is below.

I cleaned it up by hand, adjusted contrast a few ways, edited his left eye to open it a bit more, and converted to grey to give it a more professional feel.

Challenge: Can anyone do it better? :boxing:

Very professional. I bet it's how he'd look for real too. But yeah, It's all about presentation and (in case of taking pictures) timing.

Now pleease just add a twinkly highlight on one of his teeth and it's perfect :D

Nice work though :). I wish I could do more with graphics stuff...

But Kim, you're already a "Sex Goddess"! How could we improve on that :D

John

PS Your rankings for that have dropped. You'll need more quality content if you want to get back into the top 10 :D

"I carry things on my belt, because.. I'm Batman." -LOL. Nice video link Paul.

If anyone is interested in some other 'SuperHeroes' I have manipulated, see the
Sales Superheroes / Photo Manipulation links on this page: JOZ Work They are a couple of paragraghs down.

Strictly for fun - this is from an ongoing internal client project sales promotion. I'm not looking for photo manipulation work - it doesnt pay very well!

This is so cool. I don't want it to stop.

But it is also getting to the point where I'm beginning to worry about people passing by my desk here at work. The way it's going, who knows what's next ....

I'll check tonight at home!

Hope she doesnt think is chauvanistic - hard to find un-buxom female superheroes! And though I dont know her, I sense that this might be to her liking.

So, what program can I download to do these photo tricks?

Swainzy-

Glad you liked the SEO Amazon!

I'm the independent sort, all self-taught in graphics, layout, design, development and coding. My degree is in organizational behavior from Cornell - lol.

As such, I can use about any photo editing program. While the mainstay is Photoshop, I primarily use an out of date product called PicturePublisher (from the former Micrografx now owned by Corel).

I find it hard to recommend a non-standard program to others, but I have to say that the learning curve is a lot easier than with Photoshop and there is nothing in PhotoShop I haven't been able to do faster in PP. You can still find shrinkwrapped copies on Ebay et al for versions 8 and 10 if you are interested.

As for being able to do what I do, I don't think is that hard, but I have been doing it for a looong time :) The biggest factor is actually finding a suitable graphic to modify - facial angles at al - then I use various techniques to integrate the image. Sometimes you can just lop off the head  , other times you have to blend in the structure and recolorize/reshade.

If you didn't see some of my other fun Superhero work like this, here are a couple of links:

SuperKath
The Thing
Debt Assassin
Ziora
Mr Incredible
Sgt Fury

Some of these are better than others, or designed more for laughs than for great integration. Of course, they are funnier when you know the target person :) These all from an ongoing internal sales contest for a client.

If you need further graphic advice, let me know.
