If you go to the remote host specified, you get MyBlogLog, which explains the mbl bit in the host name. The question is: why doesn't the MBL feed retrieval bot identify itself?
Why is this important? Blocking empty UA strings blocks out quite a few spam bots.
Just a heads up. I'm going now to find a way to submit a bug report...

Wow that was a quick response! They just emailed me back saying they'll let their engineers know about this.
