If you notice something different around here...

We have a new logo!

Cre8tive Community member, Risa Borsykowsky, of RB3 Web Design created my Cre8pc.com logo last year, and I LOVE it. She captured me so well

So, last Fall, I suggested to Bill that we hire Risa to update our forums logo to match the direction we're going from here on in, such as a focus on "Green Marketing", positive support for the industries we support, education and contributing in healthy ways to the planet while we live and work in it.

Since then, Bill, me, and moderators Joe and Liz (Ablereach) have been going over many variations of logo designs. We decided to do a new one for the Forums Blog - Cre8tive Flow too. The planet is our connection the Cre8pc logo but the forums and blog logos also have their own identity. We have some symbolism in there, which Liz is far better at describing

Risa would not accept my attempts to pay her. She has generously donated all her time to the creation of the new logos. For that, we're grateful, thankful and blessed.

Please join me in a heartfelt thank you to Risa. She not only offered to help us with the logos, but is willing to create some new holiday and occasion ones for us, which is something we've done in the past. Sometimes our graphics mod, Dave (Black Phoenix) is too busy for logo changes and so we now have another volunteer.

We're always grateful for what members of the Cre8tive Community do here. Risa is another example of how wonderful all of you are.

On forum color changes...that's next. It's a big thing, because we're so CSS based and have 7 templates plus lo-fi.

I am not artsy-fartsy so my advice on colours is frequently ridiculed. Hoever, in ignorance I shall rush on in and say that the 'traditional' hues clash with the rich saturation of the new logo.

I can see the shell of the Great A'Tuin but where are the four elephants and The DiscWorld®?
And the Librarian? I the Librarian!

It's wonderful. And, I think it is a really nice nod to Cre8asite's 2008 resolution to become more eco/non-profit oriented.

I'm thinking that, since the logo kind of implies a different topic, the "Building Better Web Sites Together, For A Better World" probably ought to have a little larger font (it's *tiny* on my monitor), so that visitors don't confuse it with something else. Anyway ...

That's on my To Do list....I was thinking of changing the color while at it but am not sure what to go with? Will have to experiment because of our templates. Thinking out loud, may have to wait on color change until we repair the board colors and I'll just raise the font size for now.
