Hello.
I searched for a topic. Found it.
The topic was about two years old, but what I had to say was very relevant to it based on what I'd just experienced on this subject.
I went to add a reply but was directed to page which said that it was "read only" only - and I could not reply to it??
I also noticed that the path to the thread went from "Forum - Archives - Thread" - that's to say the thread had been archived.
Here's where I wanted to post to: http://www.cre8asite...amp;hl=hot link
I did notice that the "Fast Reply" seemed available - which I didn't use.

Kim cleaned house. Isn't it pretty?
The recommended usage is to start a new thread in the appropriate current forum (yes, Kim moved the furniture, too
) with a linkback to the archived conversation you wish to continue.
Example:
Link to thread beginning (as your example) or to a specific post later in the thread, i.e. manager, post #7
and then use the quote code, etc. as appropriate.
But be careful when resurrecting from the archives - there be monsters, dragons, and great wisdom slumbering there...

For the record, I too wanted to dust off a tablet of wisdom, but could not. In the end, I chose to find the answers by myself. Maybe not a bad thing, after all

Yep. The goal was to condense and reorganize a bit. That meant shutting down some forums or combining some...
in any case, as iamlost says, there's tons of education in the Read Only Archives and they can referred to anytime, with new threads begun.
