EGOL, I was wondering who would bite. :-) Shoulda known it'd be our Mr rock-solid common-sense EGOL. :-)


If you know it's there, you may see "OO" in a pair of doorways, and an "l" in the form of a palm tree.

If you didn't already know it's there, you'd never see it.

Out of context, like here, it matters. Since we already know that Google does this, and Google is a household name, does it matter that the "Google" is hard to see, in context, on Google.com?

I made an effort and barely saw it. The first two letters and the "e" are just not very obvious.

I think they've went slightly overboard w/ design on this one. I wonder what the effect on traffic will be, given that they test everything out. Or maybe they don't test logos and designers can do everything with them?
