Cligs (URL shortener) inventor, programmer, marketer and web developer, with a PhD in bacterial genetics from Cambridge University, Pierre Far aka “eKstreme”, officially announced today he has been hired by Google.com.

That’s the good news. The sad news is that this means Cre8asiteforums loses its Technical Administrator and long-time Moderator. However, we’re very proud and can boast that the forums has lost two of our finest from the Cre8tive Community – John Mueller aka “johnmu” and now Pierre (not to mention some of our moderators who also assist at Google’s Webmaster Forums).

He promises to stop by Cre8asiteforums, just like John Mueller does. Congrats Pierre!

I don't know what to say really apart from WOOOHOOO! Working with John is going to be awesome (he started this whole thing, so I blame him 100% ) and I can't wait to dig in.

And thank you all for having me here and letting me be admin. It's sad that I have to go but that just means someone better can step in and keep nurturing this place.

And free food or not, I am hoping to ramp up my cycling to be a full 45 minutes each way. I'll be commuting from Cambridge with a cycle ride in Cambridge and eventually also London. Of course baby steps first...

JohnMu, I am in the UK, not far from London. My pal works in Zurich. Not really sure what he does, has a small team on the 2nd floor (at least I think it was the 2nd, I popped there once to sample the lunch and play some table tennis, but I had a terrible hangover and a sore heel so avoided the fireman poles!).

Congrats! I once had a client who moved from Canada to California to work for Google and I was really jealous.

He came to see me because he needed a health exam on his pet to get across the border. It was the first time I ever did a health certificate for a mouse.

The darn mouse bit me! But I still signed the health certificate.
