I did a search for this publication of Google Plus One entries in SERPs and could not find it mentioned anywhere. Has anyone else spotted this?

I was somewhat surprised to see that Google Plus One entries are now appearing in SERPs in addition to the original posts. I thought it was perhaps because I was signed in to my Google account, but after signing out and repeating the search, the attached image is what I saw.

Couple of related things:
You might find the following of interest: Google + Statistics, socialstatistics.com.
Note: hover link and see that parameters can be used.
Note: this allows simple automated data mining for those not up to using Google API directly.
---for info on past week or so following/followed statistics click person's name.
---to go to person's Google+ profile page click small arrow following name.
---note that several Googlers including Page, Brin, and Cutts are maintaining following privacy. Zuckerberg of FB switched from public to private on 10th July.
Of course Google knows regardless.
.........................................
I haven't read about it elsewhere yet, Barry, but had seen similar examples... a nice way, currently, to get two kicks at the SERPS can. Watching to see how this develops:
---will what is really results duplication continue?
---as G Places is pushing into organic-cum-local will so G+? i.e. can/will G+ entry overwhelm/out rank/replace original?
---once G+ opens the business version will there be non-G results on the first page?
Definitely interesting times.

I was wondering these same topics. Will this be seen as duplicate content and can you use rel="canonical" or rel="author" or something else to credit any google+ content back to a domain that you own?
Also the rankings. Barry's blog is outranking the G+ post right now for a few different queries (as I see it from the USA)... however, will G+ content outrank domains and will this damage those who try to monetize content on their own domain?
Will there be ways to monetize G+ pages for those who want to publish substantive content there?

Just for information, I did not add the post to Google Plus. It was picked up automatically and added by Google Plus. The format looks very much like the newsfeed entry for the blog. In which case it might have been picked up by Google Reader or by Feedburner.
OTOH I now have author pages on all my blogs with a link to my Google Plus profile. In turn each blog post is automatically linked to that blog's author page. This is all as per the memo, which I assume you all got.
It could be that linkage ensures that new blog posts are posted to your profile.
I have not seen any clarification of all this, so if anyone has more information, that would be helpful.

Those are important points, Barry. Where to post the page that your author links point to? I find that a dilema. I like to place all important documents on my own property. I'll put it on a Google property if that works best... but I would prefer hosting my own.

In this case, would G++ be a way for Google to detect who is the for-real originator, vs who is the spammer? I read somewhere that Google is taking a hard line against using nicknames as user names. They want your for-real name.It could be that linkage ensures that new blog posts are posted to your profile.
A filtering process that focuses on how a specific user seems to represent any number of pages might be simpler for them than rating how a stack of pages might represent a Panda-ish style symptom.
