Do you have any recommendations? The important items that come to my mind are:
- Branding (self hosted or not). Does it even make a difference (maybe with Flickr)
- Ability to buy and sell the pictures? Do people actually buy pictures from other people's web galleries? Or do most people (like myself) just use iStockPhoto (or similar)
- Integration into Wordpress
- Looks (most of the software packages / tools that i've seen are pretty good looking and well programmed)

I'd keep it really simple and just go get a worpress travel blog theme, there are loads to choose from.
What exactly do you want to do? Is it just image galleries. Are you writing about your travels, holiday advice or travel tips or are you offering to organise trips for people?
