I was looking into translating one of my sites and I was recommended to use Google translate instead. http://googlewebmast...ith-google.html

Has anyone used it or heard about its translation quality?

So far, I never saw any software translator able to handle french properly... maybe they do it better with other language... for a serious site, get a human translator.

There is no good let alone great translation program. As jocelyn says get a human translator. To get an idea of how good a translator is give them several pages to translate then later have them (or someone else) translate back... (which is also the way to test a translation program).

A lot of spam/scraper sites use Google translate - auto scrape the content into GT then auto publish the results: voilà! instant site - which is why I block GT and all who sail in her
