Hello Cre8asiteForums Community!

It is my pleasure to announce that I have bought the Cre8asiteforums, and best yet, Kim Krause Berg will now be employed by Internet Marketing Ninjas.

Here is the official press release about Kim Joining Internet Marketing Ninjas, and the acquisition of the Cre8asite forums and blog.

There are many things that official press releases don't say, that I'd like to say to all of you.
To start with.....

YIPPYYYYYYY !!! I'm So Excited to be able to work with Kim and the Cre8asiteForums!!!
Thank you Kim.....thank you, thank you, thank you!

It's such an honor to be able to help Kim and the entire Cre8asite Community. This forum has been a large part of Kim's life work going back to 1998, and I know that there are so many others who have contributed countless hours towards making this community something really special. This is an opportunity I am humbled to have. The fact that Kim has entrusted me with the Cre8asiteforums....to say it's an honor is an understatement, it's an honor and a privilege....I'm excited...I'm a little scared. But my intentions are to, in a nutshell, "give you what you want to the best of my ability with the resources and time that I have available to me". My main goal it to continue working to earn Kim's trust and to work towards earning the trust of the entire community as well. I am here to listen to you, not impose things on you. Keeping, and growing the community is the biggest value to me.
I ask that you give me a chance to show that I am here with the intention of making the community more valuable to you. I believe that we can help each other...together, we can make the community something even more special than it is today....I believe in this....and I will need to rely on each member, each mod, and each admin, and Kim...because I haven't been in here much since I joined back in 2003. But, I am here to offer my resources behind what you want. I have many ideas, but in the end, it will come down to "What do you want?". I'll share my own ideas with you soon...but I mostly want to hear what YOU want.. in the end, it is YOUR community. Feel free to "Dream what you want" and we'll do our best to make that so.

I am extremely excited to have this opportunity to work with Kim, and with all the members of the Cre8asiteforums. I have been given the chance to work with Kim, in both helping our clients to improve their sites, and to help the Cre8asiteforms become what all of you would like it to be. I have dreams of creating wonderful forums that are run by the community, and I'd like to ask all of you to dream with me, and then let's make those dreams happen.

I respect all of the forum members
I know that of all the communities I own, that the Cre8asiteForums is really special in it's own right. For many of you, in many ways, it's a family. I am not seeking to change this, I want this to grow. Nothing is changing with the Admins or Mods, and I'll do what I can to keep and grow the community as you wish, so that there is even more value to all of you, the members.

I respect the Moderators, and Admins, and those have participated highly through out the years.
I have tons of respect for all you've done, and will work to support you. I know many of you have invested countless hours in giving back to the community, without your contributions the Cre8asiteForums would not exist. I know that you've been doing this, not for pay, but because you enjoy being part of this community. For all that all of you have done over the years, "Thank you". You've created something special here, and I'll work to preserve the good, and grow it, and improve it, with your input and help.

And most of all, I have the highest respect for Kim.
Kim is (and I image will always be) the main administrator. She built this community, and has maintained this community (of course, with all of your help)....and now, with your continued support, and with the help of some Ninjas, we can make this family something that sends positive energy around even more. I want everyone to be proud to be a member of the Cre8asiteForums...I will do all I can to work towards that goal.

Who is Jim Boykin?
Well, I'm almost always feeling lucky :) ... I'm the Founder and CEO of Internet Marketing Ninjas (originally was named "We Build Pages" from 1999-2011), which started as just me back in 1999, and has since grown to about 100 in house ninjas in Upstate New York. I have been lucky enough to surround myself with wonderful people who I highly respect. Last year we won a local Best Places to Work award (we hope to again this year), and recently several team members said some nice things about what it's like to be a Ninja. In early 2012 I also bought the Developer Shed websites which included several several forums including another internet marketing forum called SEO Chat. I often speak at several conferences every year. I'm also a father, a boyfriend, a tree hugging hippy, and someone who tries to have a positive impact on the world....oh, and now I'm the owner of the Cre8asiteForums, and I'm going to strive to help make this community something even more special than it is already.

I love forums, and I love internet marketing, I grew up on SEO Chat and Webmasterworld, but I'm an internet marketing guy at heart...and have been since 1999. I love this industry more than you can image...and I believe in communities....and I see this wonderful community here. I see that for many of you, many of your fellow members are your friends...some even very close friends....there's a real family here...and I believe there's great power in communities, and I believe there's great power inside of the Cre8asiteForums community....and I'm here to lend my resources to helping to add value to the Cre8asiteForums. I believe in Kim, and I believe in all of you, and I believe in giving back to my industry...this industry has given me so much, and if I can help areas of my community, and communities with my community (like the Cre8asiteForums), it all tends to come back in the end....call it Karma if you want...but I believe that if my impact on the Cre8asite community is good, then my business will benefit....I believe that if I can help all of you to benefit more from being a member here, then we all win...and I'd like us all to win.

I am asking for your help and support and faith in me. My intentions are nothing but good for the community. Together, I believe we can all get more benefit from our membership and participation in the Cre8asiteForums.

I'm Feeling Lucky,
Jim Boykin

Hi Jim,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I couldn't be happier for Kim and for you! It doesn't seem like a fit could be more perfect. You said such nice things in your PR about Kim and the Cre8asite Forums community:

“To say I’m thrilled would be an understatement,” said Founder and CEO of Internet Marketing Ninjas, Jim Boykin. “To have the opportunity to work with the Cre8asiteforums community alone is such a privilege, but to have Kim Krause Berg on board as well is a dream come true. I consider her the world’s leading usability analyst. Kim was already a legend when I started in 1999 and I have the utmost respect for her and the Cre8asiteforums community.”

I am excited about the future of your company, Kim, and Cre8asite. Best of luck with everything! Welcome aboard! I can't wait to hear what the community has to say.

Risa

Great news, Jim. I love that word synergy. For those who think it's Greek to them, they're spot on. It means working together and I'm sure we're going to see lots of that.

... as they say, on with the show!!!

Ah, now the rest of us can welcome Jim! (I still disapprove of the new mod only section!)

Hi Jim, welcome aboard! :wavey:

When will we be issued with black pyjamas and shurikens? I have my own sword.

My fault! Jim had asked me where best to post....I saw he did and then started 324 other things, until it dawned on me that the section it went into is member only. If you didn't see it, the settings are still wrong. In any case, I moved it to Cre8tive Tomorrow, in "iamlost's" territory. Felt it was a much better fit, LOL

Um, Jim has very cool Ninja clothes. Let's see what we can do!

I've always known Jim was a little bit different :) and that was amply reinforced when I first saw him in what only he would consider 'ninja' clothing...

There is are a couple three questions that I've long wondered:
* has anyone ever seen Jim without his trademark grin?
* is it true that Jim's grin is actually trademarked?
* is the grin because:
---life is just such fun?
---he has a secret link sauce that Google just can't resist?
---Muhahaha?

I still disapprove of the new mod only section!

Hey, we need to have somewhere to talk about you behind your back... :infinite-banana: :banana_wgun:

Welcome Jim.
I'm not sure you understand what you've got yourself into buying Kim's kitchen table and occupied chairs...
But the ride should be exhilarating... nah, we are much too laid back for that much excitement... relax, you are getting sleepy...

I wouldn't mind if it was behind my back. My issue is that I read the excellent posts, think :nicethread: , and then just as I am about to ask a question or add a comment I realise that I am not allowed. Boo! Some serious UX issues with that section  .

Jon,

We had set some anti-spam measures but I think we're in good shape here and it's not needed anymore. Should someone go against the House Rules, the Community itself jumps on it and wrestles the dumb post until a Moderator comes along and puts the impostor out of their misery.

I opened up everything to the public (read, not post) and opened up the tightly moderated areas so that all are open and available to read and post to for members only, with the one exception of the Introduce Yourself forum. That remains for members only. I even opened up the Pub.

In other words, registered members can read and post anywhere. Limits still apply to "Guests". They can read but not post. They can't read the private Introduction Forum at all.

Please let me know if you find any blocks to usage and I'll fix. Thanks!

Thanks again everyone for your welcomes. I Really Appreciate it. Of course I've been nervous coming into a new community where I haven't really been much of a member of in the past....and so your warm welcomes and attituded from everyone is really making me feel good now.

hehe...picture of me in kilt....did chuck send you that pic :).....hehe...

why am I smiling....
....part is because I'm always humbled by where I've been (wow, I wrote that over 6 years ago), and part is because I'm always dreaming of bigger and better things....and impossible dreams that could become possible....I love dreaming....fyi, the corporate name of our company is actually "Find Your Dreams, Inc" and I feel that I'm always chasing dreams.

fyi, no, I'm not done with my acquisitions. there are a few more big announcements coming very soon (next tuesday we're announcing another wonderful person has decided to move to Upstate New York to become a Ninja..I'm sure 90% of youwill know this person.... and then next tuesday we're announcing another MAJOR MAJOR acquisition....this one will really make heads turn...and in the middle of this I'll be at pubcon in vegas, then relaxing at death valley for a few days with 12 of my ninjas....then its back to work again....

....but always know that I feel very comfortable knowing the quality of this community, and the people who make this community run. I may not be in here a lot as an active member making lots of posts and comments, but I know that it's in great hands with Kim and all of you....and I'll listen to all of you and I'll be in constant contact with Kim, and admins and mods can have my private email (just ask kim for it).

I have a lot going on right now.....with running a ~100 person company here in house (designers, programmers, link builders, social marketers, analytics and reporting teams, in house content editors (+50-100 writers that work from home) content marketers, etc etc), having kids a few days a week, working with over 200 clients (these are my bosses) and somewhere around 200-300 client sites, plus 400+ of my own websites (that's its own business ), The Developer Shed company in Florida with 6 employees, several freelancers/programmers from around the world (can you ever have eneough programmers?), 8 forums (including this one), etc etc....and one more big thing going on that will be the biggest announcement by far.....but anyways....I guess I'm saying that I won't be in here every day...I wish I could be....I know that I could learn a lot here...maybe one day if I retire, I can help contribute a lot more posting here...but until that day, I'm totally honored to help Kim and the admins and mods out to make things a little better every day. That's what all of you have been doing for years, it's only fair that I offer the help that I can if I want your acceptance, and your support in the future of the community.

You guys are smart people, Tell me what you want, I'll give you the resources I have available and I'll get out of your way.
I told Kim, if you have a question about anything, ask yourself "is is good for the community?"...if yes, then just go ahead and do it.

Thank you again for your warm welcomes, its scary going into a new forum where there's existing cultures, and I dont want to mess that up....and I just want a chance to show I'm here to make things a little better. sorry if I make silly mistakes (like posting my first thread in a mod only section....doh....), or if I don't fully understand the culture/values/styles at first....bear with me as I learn....
