1. Sign up for Google Analytics and then place the code either in the template, or use a plugin that lets you put the code there (the plugin is usually easier).

or

2. Sign up for Clicky (getclicky.com) and do the same as above - either put the code in the template or use a clicky plugin.

Both are good. I like Clicky best, but if you plan on selling the site later, then buyers will want to see Google Analytics numbers usually.

Yes. Well, Google Analytics is free, and Clicky is free until you hit a certain amount of traffic.

why usually it show in meter of my forum that visitor let say 400 and when later i check in same date on Google analytic it show only 100 or less ??? 

please answer me if you have idea about ..

Often, the stats programs that come with your hosting provider are also showing traffic from bots (which aren't real people). Google Analytics is showing real people only.
