Donna suggested outsourcing this project and I very much appreciate it. Otherwise I'd still be struggling.

I need vote counts, opinions, and more important (I think) suggestions to submit to the graphic artists. Keep in mind, you can rate (1-5) all the designs and not just select one.

Runs until Sunday

Thanks!

Incidentally, the leader thus far is not my favorite but I must listen to opinion.

I don't like the one with the oval and the pine tree - much too cluttered. I like the current leader, it feels a little round and bubbly (not sure how to explain). I think it looks great, but you'd need to tweak your website template to give it the same feel so it all matched together. That might be a good thing though, you can use the logo to inspire the website.

Might be nice to see it with the brown background box turned into the TV (using the tick on top from one of the logos further down) and the TV replaced with the play logo from the design in third place. Might work, might not.

Donna suggested a contest to me too - and I tried it with good results.

However, I kept the contest private so that competitors and the public could not see the designs.

Next time I will make the entries public so feedback will be possible.  I like how you are able to share the results and collect feedback.

Thanks for sharing this.

A agree, but three private comments said it stood out the best, caught their eye. I have made suggestions to the person for changes. Let's see what happens. Three isn't much but...but that's the best barometer I have.

Round and bubbly one. I didn't like his/her first design but it had potential so I made some suggestions and that's what turned out. However there is a problem with the background being too dark for a video watermark.

Tick? If I knew what that was I would suggest it.

Thanks folks. keep it up

I would worry about the one with pine trees, as pine is not a hardwood. I would look for something that is specific to hardwood, maybe suggest somebody tries something with an acorn ???

Thanks Pete:

I don't think it's much of a concern as pine is used extensively for flooring in some locations. Same with fir in the Pacific NW. The tree is actually Spruce, but I never hear that being used. It does have a nice "A" shape though. Other trees do not. I have however, asked for others to be used. Never thought about an acorn. There have been six bubbly updates for those that liked that design idea, but I forgot the the play arrow suggestion. That particular person has been in the forum for over two years and has yet to win anything, but only participated 22 times. I like their stats on my dashboard. Only one from the US has entered my contest, so I guess I'm too cheap for them to bother.

However, the board administrator says to hang on till the end to select a winner, as there are ordinarily a good number of submissions toward the end of the contest.

Incidentally, this logo will be used for embroidery as well. I could use some tips on that as well. What works better etc. Anybody good at that?

Lastly, you can rate all the submissions. Some of my friends have a feeling it's a one vote thing. My fault probably. Should have use "rate" instead of "vote"

Thanks for all the help. I really needed it.

I liked that design initially as well and urged the designer to provide some other ideas along the same lines..never heard back.

I wish I knew what that guy (smiley) was trying to say...oh it's a gavel... it looks like it fits.
