It was announced today at PubCon that Jim Boykin has sold WebMasterWorld forums back to Founder, Brett Tabke.  It had been, along with these forums, acquired by Internet Marketing Ninjas 5 years ago.

Brett has also taken on SEOchat and other DevShed properties.

No decision has been made for these forums. I expect to have one by next week.

I'm in talks with Jim. I think things will work out for these forums but since nothing is finalized, I'll hold off with the details.

My 2 cents CDN. I can't see why someone would buy something to close it down.

When Jim first bought all the fora I kept waiting for how he might leverage them and in some manner take on Moz but nothing ever materialised for whatever reason. I guess he decided to cut his losses and get out from under.

Im pretty sure that was his goal. For whatever reasons it didnt work out or he couldnt effect the steps that might have made him a direct Moz competitor. I guess only he knows all about it

There were plans back then for all the forums. I was never told the full extent of them. Jim has been very flexible with regards to these forums. Give us a few weeks...we are working out what to do next.   :)

I am buying them back. Once the paper work is done and we deal with the technical parts I will have more details.
