File Monitors?

Recommended Posts

Just tried a Wordpress file monitored but it failed to work (database issues I think).

Can anyone recommend one that will sit on a server maybe and send alerts if something changes?

Many thanks.

You mean like this one? http://www.dazzlindonna.com/blog/making-mo...b-site-hackers/

:)

I created that tool so that it works for any type of site, not just WordPress, btw. (Not sure about sites hosted on Windows servers, but ya know...works for "normal" sites... LOL)

Sounds good, is it a PHP script? I only ask as I asked my web host and they said:

There are utilities that can do this for the filesystem but I am not aware of any that don't require root privileges and aimed at server administrators. I would recommend searching google for any php scripts that may do this.

So if yours does not require root access I will give it a whirl, and probably pester you with questions too!

It's php, yes. Doesn't require root. Go for it.
