      Thank you! Cre8asiteforums 1998 - 2018   01/18/2018

Internet Marketing Ninjas released many of the online forums they had acquired, such as WebmasterWorld, SEOChat, several DevShed properties and these forums back to their founders. You will notice a new user interface for Cre8asiteforums, the software was upgraded, and it was moved to a new server. Thank you for your support as we turn 20 years old.

What Is This Thing I'm Seeing In Google Analytics?

Recommended Posts

Checking a site and found this. What is it and do I need to do anything to prevent more like it?

I have an answer.

Thanks to Jen jen.png

The spammer we’ve written about below is using the Google Analytics Measurement Protocol to create hits and send those to your Google Analytics property. These hits seem like they’re coming from this page or another page on thenextweb.com, but they’re not.

He’s sending this spam message and is only changing the tracking IDs. Each Google Analytics property has a unique two-number tracking ID, so it’s super easy to automate.

BTW: I have several sites with a good bit of spammed "sources" of leads. Haven't even tried to clean it up. But I was looking at 2 sites today including sources of traffic and city.

With all those spammy "sources". (or maybe 90% of them) They all come from Samara Russia. Hadn't realized that before.

Fortunately there is one person who is a genius on all things Russia. I'll ask Trump. he knows everything. He's smart. He tells us so and keeps reminding us of how smart he is.

Mais OUI

I'd be curious to know how many folks actually click those spam links to make it worth their while. I realize it takes almost no effort to spam like that but still.
